First with the Negative Feedback which we will improve on in 2011 ,
- We will resolve the Food Stops Issue of running out of food. (may mean marking all those who enter versus people who join in on route but still stop and eat) in 2011.
- We will resolve the Queue Issue at Registering in 2011.
- We will resolve the Parking Issues in 2011.
- We will better the Public Address at the start so all hear Stephen.
- We will liaise with county councils and try and get the potholes covered better.
- We will signpost better where the participants can hand in their sponsorship cards.
- We will include a Timer Next Year at the start/finish area in 2011.
Now some of the Positive Feedback!

5)To the organizers - A fantastic event , great route and great company along the way. The only fly in the ointment is the condition of our roads.
My lasting memory will be the fabulous sight of the huge bunch of riders making the left and right turn as we headed inland up the hill and into the breeze.
Again thanks for a great day.
Declan.

7) I did the 50km cycle on Saturday and just wanted to send a mail to say thank you for a great day. It was so well organised and this made it very enjoyable -despite the wind on the way to Youghal!! From the registration desk to the people on the motorbikes and the emergency services to the supporters and the people supplying the tea and sandwiches afterwards -I would like to thank them all. I will definitely be doing the cycle again next year -hopefully the 100km by then.
Siobhan
8)Grand job. Well done on the excellent organisation of the event. Route markings and stewards a huge improvement. Great event, really enjoyed it, will definitely be back next year. One minor suggestion - the PA was plenty loud to reach all of the cyclists at the start but we couldn't hear the safety briefing because all the motorcyclists started their engines at the same time.
David.
9)Fantastic day. My first century ride. Just want to thank everyone on how well organised the whole event was. Route was well sign posted and the lads on the motorcycles did s great job at the junctions. As I said my first ride and most memorable. See you guys next year.
Roy
10)....congratulations on a very well organised event and I hope that my comments will be taken as they are intended (as a positive criticism). I certainly do not envy your task of organising the four routes and dealing with cantankerous participants. You did a great job bearing in mind your event is only 2 years running. I have told my friend who did this event, that not of these sportifs are organised as good. The Food Stops need more work but your team are getting there. Maybe checking registering next year at each food stop is the key. Looking forward to next year.

11) Great event - loads of positive feedback from everyone I was talking to.
Joe.
12) I would like to convey my sincere thanks to you all for a wonderfully organised bike event. I completed the 100km which was very enjoyable. The organisation from the marshalls to the food stops and directions was very well done - and the weather was very pleasant. Stephen Roche is a great Ambassdor for Ireland and cycling - a gentleman! I will be back next year. Keep up the good work!
Damien
13) Very enjoyable day, thanks very much.
Chris.
14) I would like to thank you for the fine event you organised on Saturday last.I did the 165K cycle and must say it was a fine route. The Vee was absolutely stunning. If I had any complaints it would be about the food stops.I was really looking forward to a cuppa and was rather surprized that tea and coffee was not available. see you next year.
15) 1. the food stop was well placed and the food was very good. 2. the route was great (100k), perhaps a water point just before the separation with the 150 route, so that you could decide to change your mind , over a cup of tea. 3. the jersey was nice, but I think some of the lads were surprised at the smallness of their chosen sizes. Mine was perfect, M. 4. the kit bag was nice, the zipvit gels and drink powder were popular.
16) In general, I really enjoyed the day and felt that in the main, it was well organised. Well sign posted and very well marshalled at road junctions and critical turnoffs. The focus on safety was very impressive – well done since this is a key issue that you need to get right for a sportive. All of the people I met (organisers, assistants and participants) were very helpful, courteous and upbeat. The masseur/masseuses were a great idea and very welcome at the end of the day. The tea, sandwiches and fruit - food at the hall in Midleton for the end of the event was spot on.
17) I would like to compliment you all on organising a fantastic day. The t shirts were lovely and the route (100K) was great also.
Teresa.
18) Thanks for a great cycle..all great..food stop great..maybe a little less wind next year !! Actually one suggestion I would have is to have the dinner on the Sat night so people could unwind a bit.
Yvonne
19) .......You might also mention on the website about the spread that was put on, like the breakfast, lunch & even that showers that are available for participants. Found out this after arrival. Anyhow, absolutely fantastic weekend. Yee guys did one hell of the job bringing it all together. Really enjoyed it.
James
20) I would like to thank you for a great day.It was my first time doing a big cycling event.I thought in the main it was a great success.I did the 160km route. It was fine and tough.Which appealed to the sadist in me!! In the hopes of improving for next year I would suggest that the start be staggered or else people branch off on their different courses sooner. From a safety point of view I thought the first 40km was too busy. Secondly I think the food stops were not as well stocked as they needed to be.By the time we got to our two food stops there was only water and lucozade. We ended up going to the petrol station in Ballymacarbery. In the main I had a fantastic day and would like to congratulate all involved.I especially LOVE the jersey.
Anne.
and the last one 21)
Jones Engineering Group will be back next year as will many others as this is now a great annual event. Well done to all of you organizers, you know too well howdifficult it is pulling it all together. Gauging numbers for food is hard when people leave it until last minute to register, so perhaps a cut-off date of one week before for registering might sort this as is done on some other tours.
Perhaps you could look at improving the finish so that the tired cyclists are not merging/competing with traffic for the final kilometer. Thanks again for a memorable tour.
Mike
